Join the next generation of outstanding research leaders

The University of Nottingham is recruiting the next generation of outstanding research leaders through its internally funded fellowships.

Our fellowships aim to attract and retain exceptional early career researchers, underlining our commitment to world-class research and to recruiting the best and the brightest to deliver this goal.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm, 4 November 2016.

The University offers two internally funded research fellowship schemes:

Anne McLaren Fellowships Aimed at outstanding female scholars in science, technology, engineering and medicine at the early stage of their academic careers.

Nottingham Research Fellowships Targeting outstanding early career researchers in most academic disciplines at the University.

Fellowships will normally commence in October 2017, but there is flexibility around this date.

Eligibility

Candidates must have been awarded their PhD prior to the expression of interest submission date, and should have no more than eight years of post-doctoral experience. Career breaks such as maternity leave, EU national service, and Voluntary Service Overseas can be discounted, but teaching experience and/or time spent in industry since the award of a PhD shouldamount to no more than 96 months.

The University of Nottingham sponsors any candidate who does not have the right to work in the UK.
